South Austin is usually considered anything south of the “River” (Lady Bird Lake). Over the years this has come to mean many things to many people. The laid-back, slower paced atmosphere still thrives in a large portion of South Austin but it has also given way to include the modern, urban lifestyle of many newcomers. And in between, residents will find many local businesses, retail shops, restaurants, and other entertainment there for you to enjoy.
